Zanzania Tours

Privacy notice

This notice explains in plain language what data is used on this website, why it is used, who receives it, and which choices and rights you have.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

1. Controller and technical provider

Zanzania Tours, Zanzibar City, Zanzibar, Tanzania, phone +255 795 580 641, email toursafaris693@gmail.com, is responsible for tour enquiries, bookings and the purposes of customer communication.

Tech4Humans GmbH, Arndtstraße 7, 12623 Berlin, Germany, provides hosting, website, consent-management, login and AI-assistance technology mainly as a processor acting on Zanzania Tours’ instructions. For its own security, billing and legal administration, Tech4Humans may act as an independent controller; details are available at https://tech4humans.de/datenschutz/

2. Data we process and how we receive it

  • Contact and identity data you submit, such as name, phone number, email address and preferred language.
  • Enquiry and booking details, including dates, group size, pickup place, requested tour and messages.
  • Chat, voice or audio data only when you actively use the relevant AI feature and the displayed permission requirements are met.
  • Login and session data, including a short-lived login code requested by you and necessary security records.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser, device, timestamps, consent choice and security logs.
  • Analytics data only after you consent to analytics.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

  • Answering your enquiry and taking steps toward a booking requested by you: requested service and pre-contractual or contractual processing.
  • Delivering a login code or double-opt-in message that you requested: strictly limited transactional communication, not advertising.
  • Operating, securing and preventing misuse of the website: legitimate operational and security interests and applicable legal duties.
  • Optional analytics, AI assistance, persistent transcripts, audio recording or marketing: only on the permission or other documented legal ground shown for that specific purpose.

4. Cookies, local storage and analytics

Necessary browser storage is used for consent choices, language, login sessions and essential site functions. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after analytics consent. You can change your choice at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer.

5. AI, voice and communication channels

Zuri is an AI assistant and may produce incomplete or incorrect answers. Important tour, safety, price and booking information must be confirmed by Zanzania Tours. WhatsApp, email, phone and other channels also process data under their own provider terms. Optional recording, transcript storage and quality analysis are separate purposes and are not silently bundled with a basic enquiry.

6. Recipients and international transfers

Depending on the feature you use, recipients can include Tech4Humans and its infrastructure, AI, analytics and communication providers, including IONOS, OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, Twilio, Meta/WhatsApp and Telnyx. Only providers needed for the selected feature receive the necessary data.

The website platform is operated from Germany and providers may process data in the European Union, Tanzania or other countries. Required PDPC authorization or permits and contractual, organizational and technical safeguards must be used for cross-border transfers. Zanzania Tours does not sell personal data.

7. Retention

Short-lived login codes and transient interaction data are removed when their immediate purpose ends. Persistent enquiry, booking, communication and legal evidence is retained only for the relevant purpose, contractual handling, legal duties or claims. A general automatic deletion schedule for these persistent categories has not yet been activated; retention decisions are reviewed separately and deletion requests are handled manually in the meantime. This does not authorize indefinite use for new purposes.

8. Children

This website and the bookable tours are not directed at children acting on their own. A parent or legal guardian must make enquiries and provide any required permission for a traveller under 18. If personal data from a child was submitted without appropriate authority, contact Zanzania Tours so it can be reviewed and removed where required.

9. Your choices and rights

Send requests to toursafaris693@gmail.com. Technical privacy questions may also be sent to mail@tech4humans.de.

  • Ask for access to and a copy of your personal data.
  • Ask for inaccurate data to be corrected.
  • Ask for deletion or restriction where the applicable requirements are met.
  • Withdraw consent for the future and object to direct marketing at any time.
  • Ask for a review of an automated outcome and complain to the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Commission or another competent authority.

10. Security and changes

Access controls, encryption in transit, logging, purpose-based authorization and provider controls are used to protect data. No online system can guarantee absolute security. This notice will be updated when services, providers or legal requirements materially change.
